Wellinton IV, California II, Bengtsson and Gwenn left the UK for three shows in France, the first being the very quaint Arnas Champburcy. The weather was unbelievably hot with temperatures reaching well into the 30s! So Bengtsson was a lucky boy as his class was first every day so he got to jump in the morning before the heat really kicked in! Bengtsson took part in the Elite 6 Year Old Classes and produced two of his usual graceful clear rounds on both Friday and Saturday, then just having 4 faults at the last fence in his Grand Prix on the Sunday! Sooo unlucky!!!! The heat of the day proved to be no problem for Gwenn who came out everyday with a clear round and a placing in every class! Wellinton IV was clear in the big class meaning he qualified for the Grand Prix… and he produced an amazing clear round on the Sunday!! Only his 2nd Grand Prix!
